The families of Late Chief Aghauno Dike of Amai and Late Okwa Ojo Obianukor of Umutu, both of Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, have announced the burial arrangements for their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Late Chief (Mrs.) Margaret Ojo Obianukor (née Aghauno), who passed on at the age of 96.
According to the eldest son of the nonagenarian and former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Dr) Alphonsus Chukwutem Ojo, the funeral ceremonies will begin on Friday, November 21, 2025, with a Service of Songs at 4:00 p.m. at the family compound located at No. 60 Igili Road, Umutu, Ukwuani LGA, Delta State.
The Funeral Service will hold the following day, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Umutu Mixed Secondary School, after which interment and reception will take place at the same venue.
The statement adds that a thanksgiving service is scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Umutu, while the In-laws’ greetings is scheduled for Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the family compound.
Hon Ojo on behalf of the family, expressed gratitude to friends, associates, and well-wishers for their prayers and support, while looking forward to having them around as they bid their mother farewell.
The Late Chief (Mrs.) Margaret Ojo Obianukor until her passing was a devout Christian, community leader, and mother to many, as she lived a life of love, faith, and service to humanity.
“May the soul of our beloved mother rest in perfect peace,” Ojo stated.
