Delta Councillors’ Forum Fosters Stronger Ties With APC Via A Courtesy Visit To State Leadership

In a show of unity and strategic planning, the Delta State Councillors’ Forum, Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the State’s Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the State’s Party Secretariat in Asaba.

The delegation, headed by Rt Hon Samuel Idukedoumene Ekpemupolo, Chairman of the Delta State Councillors’ Forum and Leader of the Warri South‑West Legislative Arm, met with the APC State Chairman, Elder Omene Sobotie, and members of his working committee.

Rt Hon Ekpemupolo in his remarks on behalf of the Councillors, reaffirmed the forum’s unwavering commitment to the APC’s ideals and underscored the importance of a strong partnership between party leadership and grassroots legislators as the 2027 political cycle approaches.

“We are here to chart the course for our party’s continued success in Delta State,” He said.

Rt. Hon. Ekpemupolo emphasized the need for collaborative effort to deliver on the Renewed Hope for MORE development agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

He emphasized that as Delta State looks ahead to 2027 and beyond, the Councillors’ Forum must reiterate its mission to mobilize support, deepen democratic values and ensure that the dividends of good governance reach every corner of the state, hence the visit.

“Together, we are stronger. Together, we will deliver Delta State for APC,” Ekpemupolo stated.

According to the Chairman of the Delta State Councillors’ Forum the visit underscores a renewed spirit of cooperation within the party and sets the stage for coordinated efforts to achieve the transformative goals of the APC in the state.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Forum’s campaign and support plan for the 2027 general elections.

And as a token of solidarity, the grassroot legislators presented Elder Sobotie with a branded cap bearing the Delta State Councillors’ Forum logo, with inscriptions “Sheriff, Tinubu till 2031,” signaling the Forum’s support for Governor Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 Governorship and Presidential elections respectively.

Responding, the State Chairman of APC, Elder Sobotie warmly welcomed the young politicians to the secretariat and pledged the party’s continued backing for the Councillors’ Forum.

He acknowledged the pivotal role of grassroots legislators in strengthening democratic structures.

“Your dedication reinforces our resolve to remain committed foot soldiers of the APC in every local government area,” Sobotie said.
