Delta Assembly Committee On State Capital Development Agency Declares Ongoing Development Progressive

The Delta State House of Assembly Committee on The Delta State Capital Development Agency, says he is pleased with the ongoing developmental strides within Asaba and areas that make up the capital territory.

The Chairman, Hon Benson Obire gave the commendation on Monday when the Director-general of the Agency, Chief Patrick Ukah led other management team to appeared before the committee to defend the Agency’s 2026 Budget proposal.

Hon Obire who represents Warri South 11 Constituency, lauded the present management of the Agency for upholding the vision of the State Government in establishing the Agency.

While urging the leadership of the Agency to sustain the tempo of infrastructural development within the DSCTDA, Hon Obire noted that the Agency has, within the past few years, reactivated the “Glory ‘ of the State capital by making it clean, green and safe.

Flanked by other members of the Committee, the Lawmaker commended the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for making sure that the MORE agenda vision of his administration is loudly visible within the State capital.

He particularly praised the current leadership of the agency for keying into the Governor’s vision by upholding the tempo of infrastructural development in the area.

“During our oversight visit to some of the ongoing projects by your Agency, we discovered that the projects were properly done.

“So, I want to use this medium to thank the DG of the Agency and, more importantly, the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for not only appointing you to head the Agency, but for making you perform excellently well. Thank you very much for doing the State proud” Hon. Obire said.

Presenting the Agency’s 2026 Budget proposal, the DG, Chief Patrick Ukah, noted that in the outgoing Fiscal year, the Agency recorded an overall capital budget performance of over 87 per cent as at June, 2025.

While proposing a revenue generation in excess of N13 Million in the 2026 fiscal year, the DG noted that in the outgoing year,the Agency as at June this year, generated over N4.4 Million as against the N1.6 Million generated in 2024.

Chief UK assured Deltans that following the “Accelerated MORE agenda” vision of the State Governor in the 2026 fiscal year, the Agency is committed to scaling up the tempo of infrastructure within the State capital territory.
