Delta Assembly Service Commission Focuses On Optimal Service Delivery … Ebireri

The Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission has commenced its 2025 end-of-year retreat with the themed “Parliamentary Administration for Optimal Service Delivery”.

The two-day event is taking place at the Mariam Babangida Leisure Park in Asaba and is being attended by top management team of the Commission.

In his remarks, Commission Chairman, Mr. Sunday Ebiriere, emphasized the importance of creating a robust legislative bureaucracy to enhance lawmaking effectiveness and efficiency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

He stated that the retreat aims to review the commission’s performance, evaluate existing structures, and brainstorm strategies for improved service delivery.

Ebiriere thanked the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor for their support.

The Commission Chairman noted that the retreat will build leadership and collaborative capabilities among participants.

Secretary of the Commission, Barr. Austin Uwasike, said the retreat will equip members with knowledge for optimal service delivery for the benefit of the legislature and other arms of government.

Some members of the Commission, including who spoke on the gains of the retreat, Mr Andrew Ukavbe,Chief Timothy Umuokoro, Chief Innocent Okofu and Chief Moses Onowu, spoke on the gains of the retreat, describing the programme as key to improving administrative and optimal service delivery.

Lectures were delivered on strategic fiscal governance and understanding the new tax reform by seasoned experts in the industry, Barrister Charles Ojakwo and Dr. Chuks Utator.

Participants interviewed commended the Chairman of the Commission, Mr Sunday Ebireri and his team for the opportunity, saying that the knowledge gained will enhance their administrative skills.

They also paid glowing tributes to the State Governor and the Speaker for the approvals that facilitated the capacity training programme.

The respondents promised utmost commitment to ensuring efficiency services in the workplace.
