Vivian Nkechika Passing: Speaker Guwor Extends Condolences to Family, DBS, Others

Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has condoled with Delta Broadcasting Service, DBS Asaba family over the sudden demise of one of its finest in the Presentation and Programme department, Ms Vivian Nkechika.

The Speaker, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, described the development as sad, especially coming less than a month after the passing of the Asaba Correspondent of Punch Newspaper, Mr Mathew Ochei.

Rt Hon Guwor extends heartfelt condolences to the family of Vivian Nkechika of Ekwuoma in Ika North East local government area of Delta State, saying “our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time”.

The Speaker also commiserated with the Delta State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, friends, associates and colleagues in the media fraternity of the late hardworking and highly skilled media personality.

“My colleagues and I are saddened by the news of the sudden death of Vivian Nkechika, a passionate and committed broadcast journalist who served the public with distinction.

“The Delta State House of Assembly mourns her passing and prays that God comforts those mourning her loss and grant her soul eternal rest”, Guwor said.
