SUBEB, UBEC Launch Capacity Building Workshop For 250 Teachers In Delta

The Delta State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and Delta State Government, is organizing a five-day Capacity Building Workshop on “Pedagogical Skills” for 250 teaching and non-teaching staff (i.e., teachers and education managers), drawn from 25 local government areas across the State.

A joint statement by the Executive Chairman, SUBEB, Delta State, Hon Samuel Mariere, and the Director, Teacher Professional Development Department, Mrs. Eru Ezefili, says the training, entitled “Curriculum Development and Processes”, is designed to improve teachers’ pedagogical skills in the classroom.

“This workshop is aimed at developing the capacity of teachers and improve the learners’ day-to-day activities in the classroom using appropriate learning experiments to achieve learning outcomes”.

According to the statement, the training is residential and scheduled to hold from Monday, 23rd to Friday, 28th February, 2026, beginning from 9am daily at Gares Place Hotel, No. 174 Ughelli/Patani Road, Beside AJ Eatery, Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State
