Warri South West Constituency: Delta State Speaker Guwor Visits Project Sites, Assures Quality Delivery

Several people-oriented projects attracted to Warri South West Constituency by the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, are at various stages of development.

Rt Hon Guwor, who represents the constituency in the House, visited some of the project sites over the weekend for firsthand knowledge of their completion status.

The projects, which cut across all sectors of societal development, including education, health, roads infrastructure, and social services, are located across the ten wards in Warri South West Constituency.

Those visited include classroom blocks at Raymond Primary School, Costain, Ugborodo modern market, Ogidigben Road Project, Ogidigben Hospital project, Madangho community Road Project, Oporoza School project, Battan school renovation, Naifor Island School, and various community solar-powered street lighting projects.

Others include a housing unit project at Akpakpa, Oporoza town hall, renovation of a six-classroom block at Bisobo Primary School, Pina Zion, a concrete landing jetty at Opuedebubor, a housing project at Kantu, Oporoza Market, Kantu Road Project, Ijaghalla Road Project, and Okerenkoko-Pepeama-Kokodiagbene Road, Okerenkoko.

Represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, Rt Hon Guwor, who is the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, said the projects aimed to improve living standards in the riverine communities.

The Speaker restated the deliberate and strategic commitment of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration to bridging infrastructure gaps and enhancing livelihoods in rural communities in the state.

Guwor assured constituents and residents of a sustainable foundation for long-term development in Warri South West constituency.

Urging the people to remain vigilant and committed to protecting public infrastructure against vandalism, the Speaker said that would encourage more government infrastructural projects in the area.

He thanked the constituents for their support at all times.

Residents expressed their appreciation to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and Speaker Emomotimi Guwor for attracting the projects to their communities, as well as other dividends of democracy packages in the localities.

They assured the duo and others of their prayers and support as they navigate the ship of governance and development in the state.

The residents also drew attention to some challenges, particularly the issue of teachers in their public schools, and appealed for intervention.
