Today, 3rd April, 2021 marked my four years of active service as pioneer Executive Assistant (Communications) to the Platinum Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.
The journey has been a remarkable one in multifaceted ways. As “Saul” who became “Paul” I had to deploy hard work and humility to navigate the system, and I can say with all sense of humility that I have been able to add value to governance via multifaceted communication strategies.
I made new friends across board, organised two successful state communication capacity building workshops, served as 2019 Governorship Campaign Publicity Committee Member and State Coordinator of Governorship Campaign Social Media Team for Okowa, Delta Central PDP 2019 Governorship Campaign Publicity Secretary, and Chairman, Ethiope East PDP 2019 Governorship Campaign Publicity Committee, and was also Chairman, Ethiope East PDP Publicity Committee for 2021 Council Election, etcetera.
I received several Awards, inducted into Media and Communication Hall of Fame as Full Member and Fellow of reputable professional associations; national and international.
I also attended two state sponsored Information and Communication capacity building workshops in Nigeria, and was appointed Justice of the Peace by His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, in March 2021.
In all, it has been four years of successful stewardship and loyalty to the governor and our great party, PDP, and still counting.
Special thanks to my great leader and boss, the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa. I deeply appreciate the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, past and incumbent; Rt Hon Festus Ovie Agas and Barrister Chiedu Ebie.
Appreciation to my Delta Central leader, Chief Ighoyota Amori, Mr Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Chief of Staff, Olorogun David Edevbie, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon Peter Mrakpor, SAN, Very Rev Fr. Chris Ekabo, Chief Tonobok Okowa, Chief Fred Majemite, Hon Hilary Ibegbulum, Hon Raymond Mgbakor, Mr Eddy Ogidi-Gbegbaje, Hon Ifeanyi Eboigbe, Chief Mrs Mary Iyasere, and many others too numerous to mention. Remain blessed IJN.
The beats goes on. Join hands with Governor Okowa, to build a Stronger Delta.
