Two Zonal Medical Directors, ZMD, have emerged in the Delta State Hospital Management Board, HMB.
They include Dr Lucky Inege, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, for General hospital Ekpan in Uvwie local government area and Dr (Mrs) Harrietta Etaoghene, a family physician, for Eku Baptist Government Hospital, Eku, Ethiope East local government area.
They emerged following successful conduct of elections to fill in the vacant positions sequel to the end of tenure in office of their predecessors.
Dr Inege and Dr (Mrs) Etaoghene were nominated and voted in by their colleagues to oversee the offices as Zonal Medical Directors in the next two years.
Meantime, the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, MDCAN, Delta State Hospital Management Board, HMB Chapter, has congratulated the two new Zonal Medical Directors, Dr Lucky Inege and Dr (Mrs) Harrietta Etaoghene, for their victories.
The Chairman of the Association, Dr Francis Nwabua, in a statement, expressed happiness over the peaceful progress and commended members for always displaying maturity and professionalism in the choice of new Zonal Medical Directors in the state owned hospitals across the state.
Dr Nwabua, a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist, stated that Dr Inege and Dr (Mrs) Etaoghene are very credible members of the association and that he have no doubt that they will function excellently in their new capacities as ZMDs.
The State MDCAN Chairman urged the two senior medical personnels to bring to bear their expertise and experiences in the tasks before them and wish them well in their new positions.
Dr Nwabua urged members of the association in the General hospital Ekpan and Baptist Government Hospital, Eku, to give required support and cooperation to the new MDs.
