The Member Representing Isoko North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Jude Ogbimi has restated his commitment to enhancing quality of lives and well being of constituents.
Hon Ogbimi stated this during “Thank You” visit to electorates in Ellu, Ovrode, Aradhe Federal Ward 3 and Otor_Owhe, Akiewhe Federal Ward 6, in Isoko North local government area.
Addressing the large crowd of constituents who gathered to receive him, the Lawmaker expressed deep appreciation to the people for voting him to victory during the by-election for the Isoko North Constituency seat in the state legislature.
Hon Ogbimi who is the Chairman, House Committee on Housing and Women Affairs, assured of his determination to canvass for more social economic development for the people of Isoko North in the legislature.
He commended the camaraderie amongst the political class in Isoko North, including elders, women and youths, stressing that the victory of the PDP candidate at the poll was as a result of the unity of purpose and oneness of stakeholders in the political arena.
Ogbimi said within the period he assumed the Isoko North seat in the State Assembly, he had canvassed for more budgetary allocation to execute projects in the constituency, disclosing that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has graciously approved the construction of internal roads in Ellu and some other parts of the local government area.
The lawmaker also disclosed that the Governor has instructed the scoping for the upgrade of Aradhe Grammar School and perimeter fencing of the Azagba Primary School, noting that work would soon commence on the projects to get them done as quickly as possible.
While thanking the people for their support and patience since he assumed office in the Delta State Assembly, Hon Ogbimi commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the infrastructural development in Isoko North and all other parts of the state.
“Considering the present hard economic realities in the country, His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa must be commended for his strides in infrastructural development, not only in Isoko North but all parts of the state. I employ you my people to continue to support the administration for greater developments and more dividends of democracy”, Ogbimi stated.
Accompanied by the member representing Burutu 2 in the House, Hon Ebipade Pullah, the Lawmaker disclosed that he will soon embark on massive empowerment programme in the constituency, saying that as soon as the governor gives a date for the programme, he will communicate same to them.
He reassured women and youth that his priority is to empower them economically as promised during the electioneering campaign, even as he asked the party leaders to nominate three persons for monthly stipends in support of their economic activities.
Hon Ogbimi expressed profound appreciation to the former State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, Elder Emmanuel Ogidi and former Secretary to State Government, , Chief Simon Fuludu and other leaders in Isoko North for their support and show of love.
Those who spoke commended Hon Ogbimi for constantly reaching out to the electorates and urged him to sustain it.
They also paid glowing tributes to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his efforts to developing all parts of the state, including the Isoko North and appealed for more people oriented projects to the area.
The people assured Hon Ogbimi of their irrevocable commitment to supporting him to succeed, saying that Isoko North remains a stronghold of the PDP.
