Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has again assured the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration commitment towards providing the needed requirements to enable the institute achieve its objectives.
Mrs. Ezewu gave the assurance in Asaba when she visited the institute .
The commissioner , who was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Basic and Secondary, Mr. Augustine Ede Oghoro was received on arrival by the Director and officials of the institute.
Speaking further, Mrs. Ezewu said that she would channel their requests to the governor, adding that the handing over of the institute from Ministry of Higher Education to Ministry of Basic and Secondary by Delta State Government was a step in the right direction.
Mrs . Ezewu, who also urged the management and staff of the institute to redouble their efforts towards ensuring that realised the objectives of establishing the institute, noted that the minister of Basic and Secondary Education would continue to accord them a sense of belonging by giving giving them the needed support.
Earlier, the Acting Director of the Institute, Mr. Onyema Edwin informed the commissioner that the institute was in dire need of office equipment and man power to enable it function effectively and achieve more result.
