The member Representing Ika Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Abuja, Rt Hon Victor Nwokolo has felicitated with the Governor elect, Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, and the Deputy Governor elect, Sir Monday John Onyeme for the victory at the Saturday’s gubernatorial election in the state.
Rt Hon Nwokolo in a statement on behalf of the Ika federal constituency, also felicitated with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the entire PDP family in Delta State for the landslide victory given to the candidate of the party in the 2023 governorship race in the state.
Saying that Deltans have again proven that the state is a PDP state, Rt Hon Nwokolo emphasized that at no time would lies, bitterness, propaganda and evil imaginations triumph over the will of God.
The federal Lawmaker maintained that Deltans had made the right choice for the state and commended the people for their massive support and for believing in PDP.
Nwokolo expressed optimism that the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori would sustain the enviable legacies of the outgoing PDP administration in the state, and prayed God to grant him the wherewithal to pilot the affairs of the state to an enviable heights.
The federal Lawmaker used the opportunity to particularly commend the people of Ika nation for their massive votes for the PDP in all the elections, stressing that it was five over five in Ika North East local government area.

I also want to use this opportunity to commend the people of Ika nation for standing solidly with the PDP. They did very well in all the elections”, Nwokolo stated.
The federal lawmaker urged candidates of the other seventeen political parties that contested the governorship election to accept the outcome and work with Oborevwori towards moving the state to the next level of development.
Nwokolo maintained that the election was free and fair and that a winner must emerged in every contest, stressing that the Independent National Electoral Commission did well in the conduct of the election.
“I want to enjoin the candidates of all political parties that contested the gubernatorial election in Delta State to embrace the outcome of the election. In every contest, there must be a winner. Sheriff has emerged. I am aware that some of the Governorship candidates have already congratulated him. That is the spirit and I expect all others to follow same part as it leads to more stability in the polity and peace in the state”, Nwokolo emphasized.
