Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has been honoured with an award of outstanding leadership performance in the service of Delta State Government (DTSG) in one year and six months as the State Commissioner for Secondary Education.
The award was presented to her by Delta State College of Education, Warri where she pursued her career in education during a convocation ceremony .
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Mrs. Ezewu appreciated the State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for giving her the opportunity to serve the management and staff of the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education , especially the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Augustine Oghoro for their support and cooperation.
Mrs. Ezewu said that as an educationist, she had contributed modestly towards the upliftment of the education sector, adding that the Okowa led administration had upgraded the sector to enviable height.
While thanking the College for finding her worthy of the recognition, Mrs. Ezewu pledged to continue to be a good ambassador of the college.
Presenting the award to the Commissioner on behalf of College of Education, Warri, Prof. Mary Edema described the performance of the Commissioner in one year and six months as unprecedented and described Mrs. Ezewu as a thorough bred professional.
Prof. Edema, who explained that as a product of the college, Mrs. Ezewu had represented the school well in her strategic approach to achieving results as the Commissioner for Secondary Education.
