The Deputy Speaker expressed the hope that the state economy would be strengthened in line with the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Akpowowo said there would be more positive oversight aimed at ensuring that Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the state government live up to expectations.
“We want to thank God for giving us the strength to perform our constitutional duty with this short frame of time. I must congratulate Mr Speaker and members, particularly the Chairman, Finance and Appropriation Committee for a job well done.
“We have passed the budget, budget of hope and optimism, I know for sure that Deltans are in for a great deal in 2024.
“ You can see that the budget has huge provisions for capital projects. It is all tied to economic development. Ministry of works alone has over one hundred and fifty billion.
