CAMPAIGN FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE, a non Governmental organization ( NGO) committed to good governance, rule of law and citizen participation in governance has been watching political developments in Delta Central Senatorial district and canvases for a fresh blood in the people ‘s representation at the Senate level. CGG believes that the time has come to raise the bar in 2027 in order to grapple with the complexities of the times , judging by soaring unemployment rates, general high cost of living and the growing apathy of the citizenry in matters of those that represent them at the National Assembly.
CAMPAIGN FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE has been passionate in fighting for a Senate that truly represents the people and it is equally important to recognize those whose actions have shaped our political landscape. Barr. Fred Majemite is a name that evokes strong responses. There is no denying his impact , his influence and his ability to command attention. He is a grassroots politician who has a profound love for humanity .

As we look ahead, CGG stands committed to politics of principle- where leaders are held accountable, where truth matters and where the future is built on transparency and not transaction. CGG finds these principles and virtues embedded in Hon Fred Majemite, hence we are desirous of seeing him represent the people of Delta Central in 2027.
We believe that a courageous man like Fred Majemite would not have allowed some apparently innocent Okuama indigenes to remain in military detention without trial for one full year as at August ,2025.
MATTERS OF EQUITY
The Urhobo Nation was originally divided into Eastern Urhobo and Western Urhobo divisions- divisions that was done for political purposes. Today however, local government administration has obliterated political boundaries and created new ones based on linguistic and cultural norms. Only two institutions now exist for the entire Urhobo Nation: A common Senatorial district ( Delta Central) and the Urhobo Progress Union( UPU).
The old Western Urhobo Division has produced far more Senators than the Eastern Urhobo division. The Western Urhobo produced Senator David Omueya Dafinone, Senator Eferakeya, Senator Ede Dafinone and Senator Ighoyota Amori.
Senators Fred Brume, Felix Ibru had one term each while Akpo Ewherido died on 30th June ,2013 after barely serving two years in the Senate. Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo also did only one term.
The time for Fred Majemite to throw his hat into the ring to correct the lopsidedness in representation is now. He has been a loyal party man. Although he has made attempts to go to the Senate before now, he had had to withdraw his intention in deference to party leaders who asked him to step down. To Majemite, no sacrifice is too much to advance the course of his Party.
The youths of Delta Central are clamoring for a youth friendly aspirant who will carry their interest to the next level. The youths are getting averse to rhetoric and are asking for action instead
Is Fred Majemite eminently qualified to run for Senate? The answer is a resounding yes. He has the pedigree, the suaveness and the energy to run a full course.
In the 2023 Governorship primaries in Delta state, Barr Fred Majemite took a bold step and ran for the governorship. After the primary, he promptly joined the Sheriff Oborevwori Governorship campaign Council, making him a team player and loyal party stalwart. He has since keyed into the M.O.R.E agenda of the Sheriff Oborevwori administration by playing key roles aimed at achieving success for the administration.
EDUCATION AND EARLY LIFE
Fred Majemite was born into the family of late Mr Jacob Majemite and late Mrs Jitobor Majemite( from where he derived his company name Jitobs Engineering and construction company Ltd)
After his primary and secondary education he bagged L.L.B (Hon) degree in 1989 from the Bendel state University Ekpoma, now Ambrose Allí University. He also had his LLM degree in 2022 from the University of Lagos, majoring in constitutional law.He is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in Law . He is a member of the NBA as well as a member of the international Bar Association, IBA.
The virtues that have endeared us to Fred Majemite are his simplicity , humility, accessibility and his incorruptible disposition. Despite holding so many sensitive state positions he remains very humble and down to earth. No wonder that his private homes are always a beehive of activities for persons wanting to benefit from his philanthropy.
Majemite who loves swimming, table Tennis, football and reading is happily married to Mrs Helen Majemite and they are blessed with children
