Owhefere, Ofobruku Promise Sustain Synergy Between The EXECUTIVE And LEGISLATURE.

The Executive and Legislative arms of government in the state have assured of sustain synergy that would enhance peace, development, unity and good governance of the state.

The Majority Leader and Chairman House Committee on Information, Hon Tim Owhefere and the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Legislative Matters, Chief Efe Ofobruku gave the assurance in two separate interviews in Asaba.

The Majority Leader and Chairman House Committee on Information, Hon Tim Owhefere who was reacting to the 29th anniversary of the creation of state on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, said from the First Assembly to the Seventh Assembly, the legislature has been steadfast in its primary assignment, which is to make law for good governance of the state.

Hon Owhefere stated that the relationship between the Executive and Legislative arms of government of Delta State has always been cordial and noted that there are rooms for improvements.

The Majority Leader and Chairman House Committee on Information, urged Deltans to sustain their support for government, stressing that no government would succeed without the support of the people.

Speaking in retrospect, Hon Owhefere commended those that muted the idea to create a state like Delta, saying that it has not only promoted development but enhance cohesion and unity among the people.

For his part, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Chief Efe Ofobruku, said in democracy, the Executive and the legislature can not work in at variance, stressing that the two arms of government have their different roles in moving Delta State forward.

Chief Ofobruku stated that since the creation of the state there has been steady progress and commended the past and present leadership of the state for their efforts.

The former Lawmaker paid glowing tributes to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his development strides in the state, saying that there were major transformation of physical infrastructure in the state especially the state capital.

He congratulated Deltans for the anniversary celebration.
