The immediate past Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has appreciated Senator Dr.. Ifeanyi Okowa for believing in her and for offering her the platform and opportunity to serve in his administration.
Mrs. Ezewu, who stated this in her valedictory remarks in Asaba, said that her short stay as Commissioner for Secondary Education in the State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education was eventful.
She said that the outgoing Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa had performed creditably in various sectors of the economy in line with his administration’s SMART agenda mantra.
Mrs. Ezewu noted that under leadership of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the education system was accorded priority attention, adding that the importance of education in the overall growth and development of any society could not be over-emphasised.
The outgoing Commissioner also lauded the ceaseless support of the Permanent Secretary in Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Augustine Oghoro , the management and entire staff of the Ministry for their cooperation.
Mrs. Ezewu said that her success in the Ministry would not have been possible without the commitment, dedication and resilience efforts of the staff of the Ministry, noting that their modest contributions to her achievements in the Ministry was commendable.
The Commissioner said that she would always cherish the cordial working relationship she had with every staff of the Ministry.
She explained that the incoming administration of Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori would achieve more for Deltans, adding that the Governor-Elect would perform beyond the expectations of Deltans and residents of the State.
Mrs. Ezewu called on Deltans to rally round Oborevwori’s government, describing him as a leader with the passion and determination to give the State the best of governance at all times.
