Give Peace a Chance, Integrity Group  Tells Deltans

… Says MORE Agenda on Course

Amid the spade of violence that have erupted in some parts of Delta in recent days, the Integrity Group has appealed to all Deltans and residents of the state to live with one another and avoid act capable of derailing the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwore’s administration.

This appeal was contained in a press release signed by the Convener of Integrity Group of Delta state, Dr. Oke Idawene and Hon. Barth Ozah, the director of media and communication and made available to journalists in Asaba, the state capital.

The statement came following  the crises in Okuama community in the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta which has claimed so many lives including about 16 soldiers and the crisis between the Okada riders and the Tasks Force of the association of Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Riders Union COMTUA, in Okpanam area of Asaba.

While commiserating with the Nigerian army, the communities involved and victims of the crises in the state, the Integrity Group cautioned the citizens against taking laws into their hands.

Integrity Group equally sympathised with the governor Sheriff Oborevwore urging him to remain focused in the implementation of his M.O.R.E agenda which is an acronym for Meaningful development through the provision of Opportunities for all through Realistic reforms and Enhanced peace and security for all.

The key words in the MORE agenda, according to the Integrity Group are development, opportunities, reforms and peace and security, arguing that so far governor Oborevwore’s administration has lived up to expectations inline with the MORE agenda.

Therefore, the statement added, “The Integrity Group of Delta state, the MORE agenda and You Matter Charity Foundation ambassadors will not fold its hands and see the progress being made by our principal eroded by few elements or detractors. To this end, we urged all Deltans to be their brothers keepers, live in peace and cooperate with the governor in moving the state forward.”
