NSCDC Arrests 11 Suspects Involved In Vandalism, Crude Oil Theft, Others In Delta State

The gallant fight against vandalism engaged by the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Dr Abubakar Audi Ahmed PhD(mni) has drastically reduced the pace of vandalism both in the Niger-Delta region and the entire country at large.

These were the claims of the Delta State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Commandant Akinsanya Iskilu Abiodun.

The Commandant made these claims while parading over 11 suspects at the State Headquarters in Asaba. He further stated that One Mr Umukoro … and Ten others were handed over to the NSCDC by the 181 Amphibious Battalion, Operation Delta Safe of the Nigeria Army due to the juicy and robust synergy and collaboration enjoyed by both agencies.

The Delta State Accounting officer of the NSCDC stated that Mr George Umukoro (m) 66yrs engaged the services of:
(1) Adu Peter (m) 62yrs
(2) Luck Efekerhi (m) 66yrs
(3) Thomas Umukoro (m) 60yrs
(4) Felix Iku (m) 45yrs
(5) Efe Otoborisi (m) 43yrs
(6) Henry Oshevire (m) 41yrs
(7) Eruovuho Akparugo (m) 32yrs
(8) Sunday Godwin (m) 36yrs
(9) Igwe Shedrach (m) 30yrs
(10) Orava Adiza (m) 41yrs to transport the suspected vandalised crude oil pipes in Evurode in Ughelli South LGA of Delta State.

The Commandant maintained that vandalism in the State is gradually becoming a thing of the past. The Commandant noted that the reduction in vandalism and general crime and criminality both in the State and in Nigeria is not unconnected with the Commandant General new year message were the CG Charged his officers and men to be ruthless to Criminals.

The CG morale booster heigthened the spirit of Commandant Akinsanya and his men which yielded the harvest of arrests of the Vandals. He maintained the position of the Command to smoke out all Vandals and Criminals out of the State. He promised to heat up the security temperature to make it unbearable for criminal elements in the State.

The State Commandant while assuring Deltans to go about their legitimate business without fear of intimidation or molestation, stated that the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.
