Chief Hon Julius Egbedi, OSU Federal Constituency aspirant has received rain of endorsement from delegates of Okpe and Uvwie local government area respectively.
Hon Julius Egbedi who paid a consultation visit to statustory delegates from Okpe and Uvwie local government area on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 to formally intimate them of his intentions to contest as member of the House of Representatives OSU Federal Constituency and to seek their support.
Egbedi while speaking at the Okpe local government council multi-purpose hall, Orerokpe said that he was the most qualified to represent the people of Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie local government areas at the green chambers, adding that he will bring the dividends of democracy to them.
Hon Chief Uko Efedede Chairman of PDP Okpe local government area while reacting to Hon Julius Egbedi said that the name Egbedi was an House hold name, in his words; You are at home, you are a grassroot politicians and I can tell you that you have the support of the Okpes. I am happy to know that Sapele is supporting Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori which happens to be the project of the Okpes and in return we will support the man from Sapele. In continuation he said that Egbedi is from Okpe local government area maternally and that will give him an edge above other aspirants.
Speaking accordingly at Uvwie, the former Hon Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources said that he has come to seek support from his people, adding that Uvwie and Okpe are one and the same people. I am part of you, I am related to Uvwie and I am a bonafide son of Uvwie. I crave your indulgence to support me to represent you at the Federal House of Representatives OSU Constituency to enable me to bring you the dividends of democracy. I am very accessible and as your representative, you will be able to access me at any time. I want to contribute to the development of Uvwie and the other two local government area. I will ensure that everyone benefits massively. I am seeking for your support to represent you as a man with all humility, he added.
Chief Mrs Rose Oghene Vice Chairman of Uvwie while responding on behalf of the delegates to the frontline aspirant of OSU Federal Constituency said Hon Julius Egbedi has come to meet the right people that will assist him to get the ticket as the PDP flag bearer for the OSU Federal Constituency. In continuation she said; you are a grassroot politician, but power comes from God Almighty. All you have said, we have heard, you are not a stranger, but I want to appeal to the conscience of delegates to do the right thing by supporting the right person. Uvwie is with you, we will work for you and we will work with you, she added.
