Ndokwa West Councillors Passes 2022 Appropriation Bill

The Ndokwa West Legislative Arm has passed the 2022 appropriation Bill with a downward review.

The Bill which was presented to the  legislative arm last week by the Chairman, Chief Goddey Obi-Nzete  contained a budget estimate of N9,027,091,568.54 for 2022 fiscal year.

But after a careful consideration of the budget which was committed to the Committee of the ‘Whole’ during plenary the house reveiwed the budget estimate downwards to N9,02,091,568.54 with some amendments.

The Leader of the House, Hon. Ndubuisi Okoloafor who equally chaired the Committee of the ‘Whole’ highlighted the importance of the budget and urged the Councillors to do a thorough job.

Okoloafor noted that since the budget is focused on realization of the administration goals and sustainability of government plans, said the passage of the budget will enable the chairman to commence the implementation of his administration goals and policies.

He thanked the chairman for the timely presentation of the budget just as he commended his colleagues for their dedications and commitments to the progress of the LGA.
