Delta 2023: I Wont Deviate From Okowa Leadership Style, Good Governance Strides – Oborevwori

Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt Hon Chief Sheriff Oborevwori has assured Deltans that he will stick to the unblemished leadership style of the state Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, if elected governor in 2023.

He gave the assurance while addressing party leaders and delegates in Warri South West, Udu and Uvwvie local government areas ononday 11th April, in continuation of his state wide consultation tour in preparation for party primaries in May.

Oborevwori said sustaining the town hall meetings and cordial relationships between government and the governed was the only sure way of truly identifying with the people, adding that regular interface is necessary to also identity priority projects, sustain synergy for improved security and peace building across the three senatorial districts in the state.

He further asserted that his administration will fully engage the youth as critical partners in peace building and multifaceted social welfare, job and wealth creation programmes.

“I have worked closely with our state leader and governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa. I am in a better position to step into his shoes in 2023.

“The Governor’s leader style is so unique and has been result oriented in the past nearly seven years. It is therefore very important for me to sustain and deploy his style of leadership in my quest to listen more and do more for the advancement of the development of Delta State.

“Vote for SHERIFF at the party primaries. I will not disappoint you. I will adopt open door policy. All stakeholders and citizens of the state and country will be able to partner with government effortlessly,” Oborevwori said.
