Mr. Fred Obi, immediate past Chairman, Inter Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC), Delta State Council, has felicitated with the Executive Governor of Delta State and Chairman of South-South Governors Forum, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, who clocks 61 on Wednesday, July 8.
Obi’s goodwill message which was conveyed in a statement on Wednesday in Asaba, congratulated the governor on his procariveness and giant developmental strides in the state despite the current economic reality occasioned by the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
According to the statement, “Okowa’s good governance strides in infrastructure development, especially roads construction and rehabilitation across the three senatorial districts of Delta North, Delta Central and Delta South; construction and commissioning of Stephen Keshi International Stadium, upgrade rehabilitation works and full certification of Asaba International Airport, rehabilitation and equipping of Technical Schools, establishment of Ministry of Vocational And Technical Education and construction of the gigantic ultra modern State Secretariat due for commissioning anytime soon, among others made him an epitome of promise keeper.”
Obi who is now a board member of the Governing Council of the Delta State Polytechnic Ogwashi Ukwu noted that the governor has built a legacy for himself in Delta State through his numerous projects which have transformed the lives of Deltans.
He further seized the opportunity to pray for the Governor and family for their quick recovery from COVID-19 as he call on all Deltans to support the Stronger Delta Mantra of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for the continued development of the state.
Fred Obi further urge Deltans to take the issue of the Corona virus seriously and adhere to the NCDC protocol as well as the guidelines on COVID-19 as being presented by the Delta State Government.
He concluded “Today, we celebrate a political legend, the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, a role model in good governance and ambassador of peace and unrepentant advocate of national conscience in leadership.
