Okpe Youth Council Visits Orodje, Seeks Traditional Supports, Others

The National President of Okpe Youth Council (OYC) of Nigeria Comrade Israel Otemewo has appealed to all stakeholders in Okpe Kingdom to support the association to achieve it’s aims and objectives for the development of the kingdom.

Comrade Otemewo disclosed this when he led the newly elected OYC executives and Board of Trustees (BOT) members on a familarization visit to the palace of The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Orhue 1  at Oreokpe, the ancestral home, of the Okpe people.

Otemewo who elugized the monarch for his fatherly role towards the development of Okpe Kingdom avowed that the familiarization visit will further deepen the symbiotic relationship between the throne and OYC on peace, Justice and progress for the kingdom just as he added that the familiarization visit afforded them to brainstorm on issues that bordered on the needs of the association.

He however appealed to the association grand petron (Orodje) not to relent in giving quality advise to the current OYC leadership in order to sustain and improve the developmental project of the kingdom.

The OYC national President who took turn to introduce his new executives and members of BOT one after the other to the Orodje, commended the immediate past OYC national President Comrade Harrison Ekeleme for giving the association a direction which he vowed to improve upon.

Responding, the Orodje tasked the association on peace and security which he said would attract meaningful development to the kingdom.

He commended them for a peaceful election and successful handling over ceremony that ushered in the current leadership but warned them not to betray the confidence reposed in them.

Highlight of the visit was a royal blessings from the Orodje to the new executives of the Okpe youth Council
