Delta NUJ Congratulates Archbishop Iboyi, Calls For Proper Religious Mentoring

By JOHNSON EBIGIDE

Delta State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated the most Rev. Iboyi Godday(JP) of the Promise Kingdom Ministry Inc. Worldwide ( Overflow Chapel) on his enthronement as the first Archbishop of the ministry at Sapele in Delta State.

Presenting a giant plague of the Bishop’s portrait to him at the occasion, the Chairman of the council in the state, Comrade Michael Ikeogwu thanked the celebrant for always identifying with the union in the state, adding that his elevation in the Lord’s Vineyard was not only divine, but a combination of commitment, hard work and good shepherding of members of his congregation.

He used the occasion to implore religious leaders to practise what they preached to their followers, adding that winning souls through sermons on salvation was more gratifying than the escalating sermons on sudden wealth and miracles, just as he asked for continuous prayers for the union in the state and beyond.

Responding, an elated Archbishop Iboyi thanked the union for honouring his invitation and presenting him with the gift, adding that he would continue to remember the union in his prayers.

He enjoined journalists to be conscientious in the discharge of their duties, adding that in whatever one did, one should put God first.

The occasion was well attended by royal fathers, captains of industries, top government functionaries, religious leaders and very many other dignitaries from outside the country.
