Just In 2023: Delta APC Top Media Strategist, Fidelis Chimokwu Defects To PDP. …Says Exit Of Okowa’s EAC Led To The Collapse Of APC Delta Media Structure

Delta State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has again suffered another major setback as her only active media Strategist, Hon Fidelis Chimokwu, officially defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Chimokwu, who paid a courtesy call on the Executive Assistant on Communications to the Governor of Delta State, Chief Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, in his office at Government House, Asaba, said APC has failed Nigerians woefully and that President Mohammadu Buhari, had since lost touch with the people, unable to secure Nigeria as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.

He said Nigeria was economically a robust country in 2015 when former President Goodluck Jonathan, handed over power to President Buhari, adding that the APC national government does not have the solutions to the multifaceted problems it created in the past six years, and urged Nigerians to vote PDP in the forthcoming presidential and governorship elections in 2023.

Chimokwu who obtained his PDP membership card at Ward 2, Aniocha South Local Government Area, disclosed that the exit of Okowa’s EAC, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, from the party in 2017, led to the total collapse of Delta APC media structure, and also responsible for the dwindling popularity of the authentic leader of the party in the state, Olorogun Otega Emerhor.

He said Oghenesivbe, was the motivating factor and mentor to the party media team, adding that his exit created a big vacuum that could not be filled by those he left behind in the party’s media and communication unit.

“Delta APC media has been a shadow of itself since you, our Pen Eagle and political communication Strategist left us. The party could not find a suitable replacement. Allowing you to leave the party was one of the grave mistakes made by APC leaders and they are still paying the price till date.

“There is no doubt Sir, that you are the best in the field of strategic political communication in this dispensation, in Delta State and beyond. APC Delta missed you so much, but the good news is that those who plotted your exit will continue to lick their wounds.

“Another good news is that I have come to join you in PDP, to work closely with you like we did while we were in APC. I want to also inform you that the few APC members in Aniocha South will defect to PDP before 2023 general elections.

“Your media boys in APC will also defect to PDP, to join efforts with you as we gradually navigate into the forthcoming presidential and governorship elections. We have no doubt in our mind that PDP shall win both presidential and governorship elections in 2023,” Chimokwu said.

The EACGOV congratulated Chimokwu for coming out of darkness, APC, into light, PDP, saying that APC has taken Nigeria 60 years backward within the last six years, and appealed to Nigerians to punish APC in 2023 for failing to fulfil electioneering promises made by the party and President Buhari in 2015 and 2019, respectively.

“I congratulate you for joining the largest party in Africa, PDP, and for your freedom from the moribund APC that has brought untold hardship, insecurity and bag governance to Nigeria.

“The nation is sinking rapidly while President Buhari and his propagandists are telling us that all is well with Nigeria. We all know that Nigeria has been drained, sucked and bartered under APC national government in the past six years and still counting.

“Nigerians must be united under PDP to sack APC and Buhari from Aso Rock in 2023. This is not the buoyant and striving Nigeria that President Goodluck Jonathan handed over to APC/Buhari in 2015.

“Nigeria is in comatose and we must unit to save our country from APC political mafias,” Oghenesivbe said.
