Community Leader Laments Deplorable Condition of Roads in Ndokwa Nation

A community leader in Ndokwa nation, Chief Sunday Chukwuka Ogwezhi  has lamented the deplorable condition of Owa-Ndemili-Utagba-uno road, even as he called on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to fulfil his promise of constructing the road.

Ogwezhi in a chat with newsmen at Ndemili, Ndokwa West LGA, decried the bad condition of roads in Ndokwa West LGA, especially the link road between Owa-Ndemili-Utagba-uno road and Ndemili-Obi-Anyima road.

He maintained that from Ndemili to Utagba-Uno which was supposed to be less than 20 minutes drive, takes more than 2 hours due to the deplorable condition of the road.

“My people have to go through Nsukwa, Ossissa, Isselegu junction back to Ugiliamai, then to Utagba-Uno as an alternative route due to the bad condition of the road.” He noted.

Chief Ogwezhi popularly called ‘Ekwueme’ appealed to Gov. Okowa to quickly intervene in order to reduce the suffering of the people.

He further advised all the representatives in the three tiers of government to equally stand up to their responsibilities urging them to stop every form of selfish and deceptive representation to enable them attracts development to Ndokwa nation.
