Contrary to the insinuations been peddle by some people who are also in the race for the Federal House of Representatives to represent Okpe Sapele Uvwie Federal Constituency who are canvassing that since Okpe Local Government Area is producing the Governor of Delta State it will be difficult, if not impossible for it to produce who should represent the Federal Constituency as well.
However,Chief Honourable Napoleon Gbinije who is the race to represent the Federal Constituency has punctuated the argument during a consultation meeting with Delegates and Executives of Okpe Local Government Chapter of the People’s Democratic party PDP in Orerokpe, headquarters of Okpe LGA.
Making his presentation,Chief Gbinije explained that the clarification is important in order to disabuse the minds of the people.According to him having sort clarification from Governor Ifeanyi Okowa whether that is the true arrangement of the party, but rather he disclosed that there was nothing like that! But he explained that Hon.Voctor Nwokolo representing Ika Federal Constituency is from the same LGA with him, while Hon.Dan.Reyeineju came from the same Warri South LGA with Former Governor Uduaghan and James Ibori also came from Ethiope West with Hon.Halims Agoda represent Ethiope Federal Constituency as well.
Chief Gbinije told his people that he is a strong Supporter of Okpe Man becoming the next
Governor of Delta State.
I am ‘ a strong Supporter of Okpe having the Governor in the person of RT Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori who is currently the Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly.who is an Okpe son.We should all back him to change our narrative.Chief Gbinije told them that he is from Okobiah Village which makes him a full blooded Okpe Man.
While assuring that if elected he is not going to collect salary rather he is going to give his salary back to the people.He added that by the grace of God he is a successful business man, who is going there to represent them effectively and as such they should give him their mandate. He promised to make them proud of given the mandate.
Earlier,Mr John Omene who accompanied Chief Gbinije who spoke in Okpe Language urged the Okpe people not vote for somebody who denied them the opportunity of having Sports Stadium by abandoning the Construction of Orerokpe Stadium.He Also asked them to distance themselves from somebody who was supposed to defend their interest in the Federal House of Representatives in Abuja as it affects Okpe Land but yet they were neglected.
Responding,Chief Efe Uko, Chairman Okpe LGA PDP who also spoke in Okpe Language commended Chief Gbinije for his matured presentation adding that there is sharp difference between the Chief Gbinije of yesterday and today.He added hat they have heard what he told them and they are going to respond at the appropriate time..Continuing he said that anybody who is wishing Okpe well will certainly, support him.
Highlight of the Consultation Visit was presentation of bags of Rice in different kilograms were given to Okpe LGA PDP Executives and Delegates by Chief Honourable Napoleon Gbinije.
