DTHA 2023: Chief Perkins Umukoro Emerges As PDP Candidate For Sapele Constituency

Ahead of the 2023 election, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, conducted its Delta State House of Assembly Primaries on Sunday 22nd, 2022.

The Primaries which started with the accreditation of voters at the Sapele Council Secretariat, before moving to the Sapele township Stadium where the delegates casted their votes for their preferred candidate.

Prince Amgbaduba the returning officer for Sapele told the Adhoc delegates that they were only aloud to cast their vote for the aspirant of their choice without snapping the vote for whatsoever reason.

Six aspirants participated in the election with Chief Perkins Umukoro emerging as the winner with a total of 22 votes, while Chief Felix Anirah got 9 votes.

Mr Ighoyota Lucky got 2 votes, while Mr Richard Randy Okotie and Mr Festus Pemu got one vote respectively. Mr Emmanuel Omuvwie got no vote.

After confirming the numbers of votes, the returning officer Hon Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba declared Chief Perkins Umukoro the winner of the party’s candidate for the Delta State House of Assembly Sapele Constituency.
