Onwo Celebrates Prof Ebeigbe Investiture As President National Postgraduate Medical College Of Nigeria

Chairman, Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Health, Hon (Chief) Ferguson Onwo, has felicitated with Prof Peter Ndidi Ebeigbe on his investiture as the 23rd President of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.

Speaking in Lagos at the induction ceremony of the Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Onwo, expressed gratitude to God that the name of Delta State has continued to dominate the public space in positive terms.

The Lawmaker who represents Isoko South 2 constituency in the State Assembly, explained that the National Postgraduate Medical College, is the body tasked with producing Specialist Doctors in Nigeria.

Hon Onwo said it is another vote of confidence on Delta State to have Prof Ebeigbe, a Deltan and an Honorary Consultant at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH, Oghara and a Past Provost of the College of Health Sciences, Delta State University, Abraka, to have been inducted as the 23rd President of the Postgraduate College.

Onwo, flanked at the ceremony by the Minister of Health (State), Dr Tunji Alausa, the Past President of the College, Prof Akin Oshibogun, and the Chief Medical Director of DELSUTH, Prof Nekwu Okolugbo, amongst others, congratulated Prof Ebeigbe on his achievements and urged him to remain a good ambassador of Delta State.

“I am at this ceremony taking place at the auditorium of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in my capacity as the Chairman, Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Health.

“It is a thing of joy to see a brother, friend and fellow Deltan inducted to such exalted office as President of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria. I know he will continue to make us proud.

 

“On behalf of my family and constituents, I congratulate him for the well deserved recognition which he earned over the years. I wish him the very best as he faces the task before him”, Onwo stated.
