Ogbimi Promises To Implement Gov’ Oborevwori’s Reforms In Delta Trust Mortgage Bank.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has directed a comprehensive reform in the state’s owned Delta Trust Mortgage Bank limited.

New Chairman of the Mortgage Institution, Hon Jude Ogbimi who disclosed this on assumption of office at the headquarters of the Bank, along Okpanam road in the state’s capital city, assured of total implementation of the Governor’s reform plans in the Bank.

Hon Ogbimi explained that the Governor’s directive is to enable Deltans, especially Civil Servants in the state to access loan facility with low interest rates.

The Chairman of the Delta Trust Mortgage Bank Limited, while addressing the 6th inaugural board meeting of the financial institution, stressed that the reform would enable many Deltans in or out of service of the state government own their private homes.

Ogbimi said he was very impressed with the outcome of the meeting, even as he called for cooperation and unity of purpose among members of the board, to move the bank forward for the benefit of the state and its people.

The former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, pointed out that reforms were necessary to drive increased revenue base of the bank.

He called for innovations, critical thinking and commitment from members of the board in changing the narratives and turning around the financial institution for growth and productivity.

The Chairman promised to tap into every available opportunities that would encourage more deposits into the bank for liquidity, to satisfy her customers.

Ogbimi assured Deltans of government’s efforts at ensuring that the Delta State Trust Mortgage Bank Ltd, is rated amongst the best state’s owned Mortgage Bank in the country.

“We are determined to providing loan facilities for businesses and development.
It is a part of the MORE agenda of His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.

“Through meaningful reforms more investors would come to invest in the state.

“The new board will take a critical look on the major reasons why the low cost housing units for civil servants at Ibusa in Oshimili North local government area of the state was abandoned and see how it can be brought back to completion”, Ogbimi stated.

The former Lawmaker had earlier constituted the various departmental heads and its members for effective takeoff of the new vision of the Bank.

The Managing Director/CEO, Delta Trust Mortgage Bank Ltd, Mrs Ruby Okoro welcomed the Chairman and members to the inaugural meeting, assuring them of maximum cooperation.

She noted that Hon Ogbimi’s wealth of experience will guide the board towards achieving new heights and furthering its commitment to its valued customers and stakeholders.
