The Chairman of the Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts and Member representing Okpe Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) James Augoye has congratulated the immediate past Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on the occasion of his 67th birthday anniversary.
In a congratulatory message shared on his social media platforms on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Hon. Augoye described Dr. Okowa as “a distinguished personality, visionary leader, and builder of men and infrastructure.”
Augoye who served as Commissioner for Works during the Celebrant’s administration, said the former Governor’s tenure witnessed an unprecedented infrastructure revolution across the state.
The Lawmaker noted that Okowa’s commitment to human capital development, healthcare, education, and youth empowerment redefined governance and set new benchmarks for public service in the state.
“Your Excellency, through the ‘Stronger Delta’ agenda, you transformed the landscape of our dear state. From urban renewal projects to rural roads and bridges, you connected communities and opened up Delta for economic growth,” the Okpe lawmaker stated.
Continuing, Hon. Augoye said, “Your Excellency, you led with compassion, humility, and an unshakable resolve to leave Delta better than you met it. Your legacies across the state will continue to speak for generations.”
The lawmaker prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the former Governor and his family.
“As you mark this milestone, I pray that the Almighty God grants you sound health, wisdom, and many more years of impactful service to our dear state and the nation at large.
“Happy 67th Birthday, Your Excellency. Okpe Constituency and Delta State celebrate you,” Hon. Augoye said.
