A former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Alphonsus Ojo, has felicitated with the immediate past Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, on the occasion of his 67th birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday morning of July 8, 2026, Hon. Ojo described Dr. Okowa who is the Delta North APC senatorial candidate for 2027 general elections, as “a leader, mentor, and architect of modern Delta”.
The former lawmaker who represented Ukwuani Constituency noted that Okowa’s eight years of purposeful leadership from 2015 to 2023 redefined governance in the state through the “Stronger Delta” agenda.
He said the celebrant laid solid foundations in infrastructure, healthcare, education, job creation, and human capital development, stressing that those legacies have continued to benefit Deltans across the 25 Local Government Areas of the state.
Hon. Ojo who is presently the Consultant to the State Government on Health, commended the former Governor for his humility, accessibility, and commitment to good governance, saying that he remains a model for those in public service.
