Mulade Bags Chieftaincy Title Of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Appreciates Monarch, Others

By Austin Azu-Delta It was glitz and glamour at the Royal Palace of His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun the 2nd, Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West LGA of Delta State as Comrade Chief Sheriff Mulade was recognized and honoured with the prestigious traditional title of Ibe-Sorimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, meaning *“Kingdom Lifter and the Hope of Society and Humanity.”*

The palace which was filled to capacity with the Niger-Delta Born Environmentalist cum Activist Comrade Chief Mulade’s Family, Friends and associates, witnessed the traditional rites induction of the Niger-Delta Peace Ambassador into the Council of Chief in Gbaramatu Kingdom.

The Pere of Gbaramatu said that Comrade Chief Sheriff Mulade has brought honour to the Niger-Delta and Nigeria and, therefore, deserved to be honoured for being a good ambassador of the Ijaw nation.

The traditional ruler praised the ambassador of peace for not bring the name of the Ijaw into disrepute and urged other young Ijaws and men to follow his example.

Responding, the Ibe-Sorimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom (Comrade Chief Sheriff Mulade) thanked the traditional ruler and promised to be a good ambassador of the people, adding that he was elated by the honour done to him.

Comrade Chief Mulade told the large number of people present at the event that he is happy because the honour came from the Pere of his kingdom.

I equally express my gratitude to the entire sons and daughters of Gbaramatu Kingdom for their unrelenting support for His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II, Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom, ( aka, Monarch of the Niger Delta) in his quest towards attracting sustainable development to the kingdom, the entire Delta State, Niger Delta Region and Nigeria at large, through peaceful coexistence, purposeful leadership and communal cohesion.
