Members Elect, Warri North, Fred Martins, Reacts To Victory, Presentation of Certificate of Return

Ahead of the inauguration of the 8th Delta Assembly, Deltans have been assured of a robust state legislature that would further drive development in the state.

The member elect, Warri North, Hon Fred Martins, gave the assurance in an interview with newsmen at State INEC headquarters in Asaba, immediately after receiving his Certificate of Returns from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Hon Martins while reacting to his electoral victories at the poll and subsequent presentation of certificates of returns by Inec, said it was gratifying to be so honored by the people of Warri North.

He said efforts would be made to enhance the sterling achievements of the outgoing 7th Delta Assembly, noting that the essence of democracy is to improve the welfare of the people.

Hon Martins who is returning for the second time and the Deputy Majority Whip of the House, emphasized that the Governor Elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori requires the support of stakeholders to advance Delta State to the next level of development.

The returning Lawmaker maintained that the experience gathered in the Seventh Assembly would be added advantage as the State Legislature join forces with the new government to move Delta state forward to the next level.

Hon Martins who is the current Chairman Assembly Committee on Sports and Youth Development, commended his constituents for believing in him and promised to provide them quality representation.

The Warri North member elect, acknowledged the place of the legislature at ensuring sustainable development in the state, saying
that his re-election has again afforded him another great opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the growth of Delta State.

Hon Martins expressed gratitude to God and constituents for electing him again into the State Assembly and assured the people of quality representation and solicits for their support.

He also congratulated the Governor Elect, Sheriff Oborevwori and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme for their victories at the poll, promising to effectively collaborate with them to see to the success of the M.O.R.E. agenda.

The twenty nine members elect for the 8th Delta State Assembly were on Wednesday presented with certificates of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
