Oborevwori @ 60: He ‘LL Make Deltans Proud – PDP Chieftain

Renowned Communication Strategist and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has again emphasized the need for all hands to be on deck to assist and to support the state Governor, Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, to advance Delta State through the instrumentality of his M.O.R.E agenda.

Oghenesivbe made the call on Sunday during a live Radio interview monitored in Asaba, saying that governance is a collective responsibility, requiring citizens; including elected representatives, political appointees, party structures and the private sector playing multifaceted roles for the good of all and the State.

He urged all Deltans, irrespective of political affiliations to roll out celebration drums on Monday June 19 in praise and worship to God, for the Successful Inauguration and 60th birthday anniversary thanksgiving of their brand new Governor, Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.

Earlier in the week, the Secretary to Delta State Government, SSG, Dr Kingsley Emu, in a statement said the Thanksgiving Service for the Successful Inauguration of Elder Oborevwori cum his 60th birthday anniversary thanksgiving shall hold at the Living Faith Church, aka, Winners Chapel, situated along Ibusa Road, Asaba.

The celebration galore, according to SSG Emu, shall shift immediately after the Thanksgiving Service to Event Centre, off Okpanam Road, Asaba, where invited guests, top government functionaries, party leaders and dignitaries from all walks of life shall be treated to gospel music and multifaceted entertainment.

Speaking further during the Radio public affairs programme, Fred Oghenesivbe, assured that the celebrant and governor of the state, Elder Oborevwori, will make Deltans and the state proud as he settles down to implement his M.O.R.E socioeconomic blueprint.

He said events that took place before, during and after the governorship election, as well as the peaceful and colourful transmission of power from the immediate past governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, to Elder Oborevwori on May 29, cannot be ignored, which is why Deltans decided to thank God in praise and worship for His unconditional love for the state and their new Governor.

Oghenesivbe noted that before and after the PDP governorship primary, a lot happened within the party, wherein the governorship candidate who is now the state governor, was unjustly castigated, called all sorts of unprintable names, dragged to several Courts over frivolous and unfounded allegations; and won all the cases in lower courts and at the Supreme Court, before winning the governorship election overwhelmingly.

“It is very important for governor Oborevwori and the good people of Delta State to thank God and celebrate the multifaceted victories of the past, and to thank HIM in advance for what He is going to do for Delta State, because Delta is God’s own state, He divinely direct our affairs from His throne of Grace.

“The celebration is basically two in one, because our amiable governor will be sixty years old on Monday June 19.

“Both his 60th birthday anniversary and the successful inauguration thanksgiving Service shall be held together, same day at The Living Faith Church aka Winners Chapel situated along Ibusa Road Asaba beginning from 10am,” Oghenesivbe said.
