Delta Lawmaker Okowa-Daramola Bonds With Constituents, Promises To Remain A Worthy Ambassador

Member Representing Ika North East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Marylyn Okowa-Daramola on Wednesday took further steps to bond with constituents in keeping with her electioneering campaign promises.

Hon. Okowa-Daramola at a meeting with Traders in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, assured of sustained interface with the people.

The youthful and vibrant Lawmaker who was given a rousing welcome by leaders of the market Union and mammoth crowd of traders, said quality representation was what she promised the people, and would never relent in that regard.

She stated that the voice of the people of Ika North East was always heard in the Hallowed Chamber of the State Legislature, promising to continue to do her best as she remains a beacon of hope and accomplishment in the constituency.

“I will continue to do my best in giving quality representation of the people in the hallowed chamber. I am a beacon of hope in Ika North East, and I will always strive to accomplish great goals in the constituency”, the Lawmaker stated.

While expressing empathy with the traders in view of the current economic challenges in the country, Hon. Okowa-Daramola disclosed that the legislative agenda of the 8th assembly is all encompassing, geared towards improving economic fortunes and quality of lives and infrastructures in the state.

She explained that the House is partnering with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s led administration to bring succour to Deltans through implementation of the MORE agenda.

The Ika North East Lawmaker who is the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriations, called for continuous support of the people in government’s programmes and policies, aimed at improving their wellbeing.

Hon. Okowa-Daramola who is the lead sponsor of the Persons With Disability Bill 2024, recently passed by the Assembly, expressed optimism on sponsorship of more people’s oriented bills and motions.

She assured the traders that improving the lives constituents will remain her focus.

Some leaders of the Boji-Boji Owa Traders Union thanked the Lawmaker for the interface, saying that she has proven to be a grassroot leader who has the interest of her people at heart.
