Passing Of Mrs Arenyeka At 91: Conference of Speakers Chairman Guwor Mourns With APC Delta Boss

The Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has commiserated with the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Delta State Chapter, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, over the death of his mother, Mrs. Felicia Arenyeka.

Mrs. Arenyeka passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the age of 91, a development Rt Hon Guwor described as “deeply saddening”.

In a condolence message issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker, on behalf of his family and the Delta State House of Assembly, extended “heartfelt condolences” to the bereaved Chairman and the entire Arenyeka family over the passing of their matriarch.

Guwor, who acknowledged the fulfilled life of the late nonagenarian, said: “I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of the beloved mother of the State APC Chairman,” noting that a mother’s love is irreplaceable and her departure has left a void words cannot fill.

“We are, however, consoled by the life she lived, a life of sacrifice, strength, and service to family and community. Her legacy lives on through her children and the values she instilled,” the Speaker stated.

The Conference of Speakers Chairman prayed that Almighty God would grant Chief Arenyeka and his siblings the fortitude to bear the “irreparable loss.”

“May He comfort your hearts, strengthen your spirits, and grant her peaceful repose. Please accept the assurances of our prayers and support during this difficult time,” Guwor added.
