The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on his third anniversary in office, describing him as a dynamic leader whose administration has continued to deliver meaningful development across the state.
In two separate goodwill messages on the anniversary, Rt Hon Guwor commended Governor Oborevwori for his visionary leadership and remarkable achievements under the MORE Agenda within three years in office.
Speaking on behalf of himself, his family, constituents of Warri South-West and associates, the Speaker praised the Governor for ensuring responsive governance and accelerated development in Delta State.
Guwor’s message which is contained in a statement made available to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, emphasized that Rt Hon Oborevwori has shown capacity and resilience in moving the state forward.
“Your Excellency, I commend your visionary leadership and the remarkable strides recorded under the MORE Agenda of your administration in three years. You have ensured responsive governance and accelerated development across Delta State”, the Speaker stated.
Rt Hon Guwor who is the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, reaffirmed continued support and partnership with the Governor in delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of Delta state.
The Speaker also prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength, and good health for Governor Oborevwori as he continues to lead the state.
“As you mark this milestone, I reaffirm our commitment to partnering with you to deliver more dividends of democracy to Deltans,” he added.
In another message issued on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, Guwor described Governor Oborevwori as “our ambassador” and “a trailblazer,” noting that the lawmakers were proud of his achievements as the immediate past Presiding Officer of the Assembly.
“We are very proud of you. You are our worthy and great ambassador as the immediate past Presiding Officer of the Delta State House of Assembly,” the statement read.
The lawmakers applauded the Governor’s commitment to lasting legacies through impactful projects and people-oriented policies that have positively affected the lives of Deltans.
According to the Speaker, the Governor’s inclusive leadership style, respect for democratic institutions, and cordial relationship with the Legislature have continued to foster peace, stability, and progress in the state.
Guwor assured the Governor of the Assembly’s readiness to continue supporting policies and legislation aimed at advancing the development of Delta State.
He further declared that lawmakers and their constituents across the 29 state constituencies remain committed to supporting Governor Oborevwori’s second-term bid, describing it as a way of appreciating his leadership and dedication to the growth of the state.
“We, together with all our constituents in the 29 state constituencies, are solidly committed to your second term in office. That is one sure way to appreciate your good leadership and commitment to state development,” the Speaker stated.
He congratulated Governor Oborevwori for the landmark achievements recorded within just three years in office.
