Delta Speaker Guwor Felicitates Chief Ighoyota Amori At 74

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, and Chairman Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated Chief Ighoyota Amori on the occasion of his 74th birthday.

In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker described Chief Amori as an outstanding political leader and patriot whose contributions to the growth and development of Delta State remain indelible.

Rt. Hon. Guwor recalled the celebrant’s meritorious service as Commissioner for Education in Delta State, where he laid a solid foundation for the advancement of basic education, his brief but impactful stint in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and his role as Senior Political Adviser in the state.

The Speaker noted that Chief Amori is currently serving with distinction as Chief Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, adding that as an effective grassroots mobilizer, the political colossus is providing strategic guidance in line with the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda of the present administration.

“Chief Amori has, over the years, demonstrated commitment to good governance, political stability, and the unity of Delta State.

“At 74, he remains a shining example of selfless service, mentorship, and statesmanship. His wealth of experience continues to be of immense benefit to our government and people”, Guwor said.

The Speaker, on behalf of Members of the Delta State House of Assembly, prayed God to grant the celebrant good health, strength, and many more years of impactful service to Delta State and Nigeria.
