The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor and Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, has felicitated with His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, as he marks 5th Coronation Anniversary.
Rt Hon Guwor described the 5 years of the Olu on the throne of his forebears as years of purposeful leadership, peace-building, cultural resurgence, and commitment to the unity and progress of the people.
The Speaker, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, joined millions of well-wishers in celebrating the historic milestone, which he said symbolizes continuity, tradition, and stability.
Guwor stated that in the last five years, the revered Monarch’s reign has brought dignity to the throne of his kingdom and promoted development across his domain, Delta State and Nigeria at large.
He noted that His Majesty’s royal stewardship exemplifies stability, visionary leadership and values which align with the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and reinforce the synergy between the traditional institution and government for the progress of Delta State.
The Speaker commended the Olu for his advocacy in peace, youth empowerment, education, and economic development, noting that the monarch’s vision for a prosperous and united Delta aligns with the principles of democracy and good governance.
“As Speaker and member representing Warri South West Constituency, I celebrate a reign that has brought dignity to the throne of the Itsekiri Nation and has strengthened collaboration between the traditional institution and government,”he said.
Rt Hon Guwor on behalf of the Leadership and Members of the Delta State House of Assembly and constituents of Warri South West, prayed for long life, good health, wisdom, and a peaceful and glorious reign for Ogiame Atuwatse III.
He wished the Olu and the entire Itsekiri nation a joyous and memorable 5th Coronation Anniversary and many more years of wisdom in service to the people.
