The member representing Okpe Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) James Augoye, PhD. has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on their appointment as members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council.
In a statement on Sunday, Hon Augoye described the appointments as a bold statement of trust in Delta’s leadership and a recognition of the duo’s sterling contributions to governance at both state and national levels.
The lawmaker noted that the inclusion of the two Delta leaders in the APC Presidential Campaign Council was a source of pride to Deltans, particularly the people of Okpe Kingdom, stressing that their wealth of experience would add immense value to the assignment.
“I warmly congratulate His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and our leader, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, on this well-deserved national assignment.
“This appointment speaks to the confidence the party has in their leadership capacity, political sagacity and commitment to national development. It is also a proud moment for all Deltans and for us in Okpe Constituency”, Augoye stated.
The Lawmaker further commended Governor Oborevwori for providing purposeful leadership through the MORE Agenda, which he said has continued to deliver tangible dividends across Delta State, including Okpe Constituency.
Augoye added that Senator Okowa’s antecedents as Governor and his continued contributions to national discourse have positioned him as a statesman whose input will strengthen the campaign council.
The Okpe lawmaker expressed confidence that the Governor and Senator Okowa would deploy their experience, political maturity and understanding of national issues to ensure the success of the APC Presidential Campaign.
He urged Deltans to remain united and continue to support Governor Oborevwori and other leaders of the State in their efforts to attract development, sustain peace and advance the interests of the people.
