The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Nkem Nwaeke, has felicitated with the Rector of Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, Prof. Emmanuel Ufuophu-Biri, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement on Sunday, Nwaeke described Prof. Ufuophu-Biri as a worthy classmate, friend and proud alumnus of the Mass Communication Department, 1998 Set of Delta State University, Abraka.
The CPS noted that the celebrant has continued to bring honour to the class through his commitment to academic excellence, media practice and visionary leadership at Delta Poly Otefe-Oghara.
“Prof. Biri has exemplified diligence, brilliance and service. From our days in DELSU Abraka to where he is today leading one of Delta’s foremost polytechnics, he remains a shining example of what scholarship and hard work can achieve”, Nwaeke stated.
The CPS further commended Prof. Ufuophu-Biri for the strides recorded at Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara under his leadership, noting that the institution has witnessed remarkable growth in infrastructure, staff development and academic programmes.
According to him, the Rector’s passion for quality education aligns with the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, which prioritizes academic excellence, human capital development and skills acquisition for Delta youths.
Nwaeke added that Prof. Biri’s contributions to media scholarship and public communication in Nigeria have continued to inspire younger professionals and students in the field.
The CPS prayed God to grant the celebrant good health, wisdom and many more years of impactful service to Delta State and Nigeria.
